Role Summary:
Deliver comprehensive medical services to patients in an outpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional medical services to patients.
- Utilize independent clinical judgment in patient care and treatment.
- Order and prescribe medical treatments, diagnostic evaluations, nursing care, and other health services. Prescribe suitable medications.
- Engage in consultations and provide guidance to patients and their families. Offer health education to enhance patient understanding.
- Refer patients to appropriate medical specialists and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive multidisciplinary care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of medical and clinical care in patient records. Assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes for insurance billing.
- Oversee the work of other medical professionals.
- Uphold the principles of medical ethics in all interactions.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Must meet Board Certification standards. Graduation from an accredited medical institution.
- Board Eligible/Certified in Neurology.
- Prior relevant experience is essential.
- Possession of a North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, and BLS/ACLS certification is preferred.
