Position Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of properties managed by the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority. This position is responsible for performing preventive and general maintenance tasks on various structures and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of heating, cooling, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform repairs and replacements on plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and HVAC units.
  • Carry out carpentry tasks including installation and repair of facility components.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform on-call duties as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and curb appeal of properties through regular inspections and upkeep.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience in building maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC systems.
  • HVAC Certification and EPA Universal Type I and II certification.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
  • Experience with housing authorities or property management.
  • OSHA certification.
