About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be the frontline contact for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, providing timely and accurate customer service to millions of Hoosiers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, utilizing good communication skills and on-the-job training to assist with a broad scope of BMV needs.
  • Work in a fast-paced and highly stimulated environment, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve customer concerns and system issues.
  • Assist with the daily opening and closing of the branch, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
  • Check transactions to ensure proper accounting and accuracy, and work with leadership to resolve escalated customer concerns and system problems.
  • File applications as completed throughout the day, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service experience, with a focus on providing exceptional service to diverse populations.
  • Top-notch communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A high level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to process cash and card transactions, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel up to 20 percent of the time to branch locations, training, or branch-related community activities.
