About the Role

Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to join our team. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our endoscopy procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and disinfection of endoscopes, adhering to quality control measures and protocols.
  • Maintain all equipment, including endoscopes, in good working condition, performing routine checks and reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Provide effective care and adapt to changing situations in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Perform other related duties as required, contributing to the overall success of the endoscopy department.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred experience with endoscopic procedures.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Certification obtained through IAHCSMM or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) Certification obtained through CBSPD within 2 years of hire or transfer.
