Job Opportunity

Overview

TriStar Summit Medical Center is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical center.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine exams following established protocols and procedures.
  • Receive, calibrate, log, administer, and monitor radioactive isotopes.
  • Provide radiation safety support in the event of a radiation incident or spill.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records.
  • Record patients' medical information and coordinate patient flow.
  • Inform patients about procedures and answer questions.
  • Interact and communicate professionally with colleagues, physicians, patients, and family members.
  • Maintain licenses, certifications, and accreditations required for the position.
  • Adhere to facility ICARE values.
  • Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
  • Prepare education for patients on discharge instructions.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable in handling radioactive materials.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Properly measure radioactive waste and dispose of it according to regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Current registry by CNMT or ARRT (N) is required.
  • BLS required.
  • PET CT experience preferred.
