Become a vital member of the L3Harris team within our Space and Airborne Systems division as a Lead EEE Parts & Components Engineer.
This essential position allows you to engage in the forefront of developing and supporting aerospace release systems, antenna products, and telemetry systems.
Your expertise will be crucial throughout the complete product lifecycle, from advanced research and development to design, and continuing through to production support.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate and validate requirements and qualification testing plans for non-standard components, materials, and processes, ensuring customer approval and adherence to compliance standards.
Guide component selection and establish requirements for innovative development projects and technologies.
Create detailed part specifications and provide essential input to ensure PM&P requirements are effectively integrated into program designs.
Lead the implementation of PM&P requirements by applying modern engineering principles during initial review phases.
Address obsolescence and End of Life (EOL) challenges with proactive management and strategic foresight.
Collaborate with design engineering to choose optimal components that meet mission-specific requirements.
Resolve supplier-related challenges in partnership with quality and supply chain teams.
Provide PM&P guidance and support to subcontractors.
Conduct comprehensive Failure Analysis, including detailed report writing.
Anticipate obsolescence issues with strategic planning and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Monitor DMS/GIDEP activities, delivering insightful reports and actionable recommendations.
Thrive in a dynamic environment by efficiently managing multiple program responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience. Alternatively, 10+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
A strong background of 5-6 years in aerospace component requirements, including Aerospace TOR.
Proficiency with 5-6 years' experience in electronic obsolescence tools and methodologies.
Eligibility to obtain a security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in failure analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
Familiarity with various component families, including hybrids, microcircuits, semiconductors, oscillators, and passive devices.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with suppliers to resolve issues.
Knowledge of industry standards such as MIL-HDBK-217F, MIL-STD-882E, or MIL-STD-1629A.
Experience in reliability engineering, including FMEAs, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis (ESA), or similar disciplines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HAYSTACK, Accuris, or Silicone Expert.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $102,000 - $190,000.This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
