Senior Audiologist
Are you a licensed audiologist looking to take on a new challenge in assessment?
We are seeking an experienced audiologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The Veteran files a claim before seeing you, and all their medical records are uploaded into a secure online portal. You will review these during the appointment and conduct a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test.
You will complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) in the online portal, which forms the medical evidence allowing the VA to decide the veteran's benefits.
This is not a prescribing role, focusing solely on medical assessments.
On average, you will assess 3-6 Veterans per day, with a schedule of 3 days per week.
This in-person position offers flexibility, with appointments lasting 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes per patient, no evenings, weekends, or on-call duties, and no hearing aid sales.
Requirements:
- An Au.D degree from an ASHA Accredited school
- A current license as an Audiologist
- Credentialing requirements set forth by the VA
Benefits:
- Malpractice insurance covered by MRG
- Health insurance options available
- ASHA Learning Pass membership (CEU)
