Position Summary
The Electrical Testing Specialist is a crucial contributor to the engineering division, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of testing equipment for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA). This role is vital for upholding the quality and integrity of production processes, ensuring that our offerings meet the high standards anticipated by our clients.
Core Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
  • Oversee and improve PCBA testing apparatus and systems used in manufacturing.
  • Independently enhance, modify, and maintain both software and hardware elements within testing frameworks.
  • Assist the operations team by providing valuable insights from a PCBA testing viewpoint.
  • Employ quality tools and metrics to guarantee product and process excellence.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by management.
Work Scope
You will interact with production IT systems and develop a thorough understanding of current PCB testing techniques while implementing innovative systems and improvements. Collaboration with the Global Technology team and other organizational departments will be essential for your success.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (BSEE).
  • Basic understanding of circuit analysis principles.
  • Experience with measurement and data acquisition tools and their limitations.
  • Familiarity with PCB testing techniques, including functional 'Bed-of-Nails' and Automated Optical Inspection.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training and collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in test software, particularly National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand.
  • Knowledge of database management (SQL/Oracle).
  • Understanding of variable frequency AC drives and motor control systems.
  • Experience with Automation Systems (PLCs, etc.) and Control Panels.
  • Background in Power Electronics through work experience or education.

  • The capability to read and interpret technical schematics and documentation.
  • Strong report writing and procedural documentation skills.
  • Effective communication skills to convey information clearly to diverse audiences.
