Job Title: Paramedic (Full Time)

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our team at AmeriPro EMS LLC in St. Marys, GA.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care as a Paramedic, conducting daily supervision of EMS field operations, and ensuring adequate zone coverage and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care as a Paramedic, including conducting medical assessments, administering medications, and performing procedures as needed.
  • Supervise day-to-day field operation employees in the absence of senior management, ensuring they have the necessary equipment and resources to perform their duties.
  • Serve as a liaison between field staff and other departments, including Training, CQI, Payroll, Human Resources, Billing, and Communication.
  • Prepare reports as needed, including mechanical breakdowns, accident investigations, exposures, and daily shift activities.
  • Ensure employees adhere to AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards, as well as company Patient Care Protocols.
  • Assist in evaluating employee performance, maintaining attendance records, and ensuring a high level of professionalism.
  • Manage short-term scheduling needs, ensure crews' TEFs are turned in, and deliver RTF paperwork to employees on duty.
  • Investigate OJIs, complaints, company-related accidents, and other incidents, and forward reports to the Operations Supervisor for completion.
  • Complete daily reports detailing activities of the shift.
  • Provide guidance and training for new employees and students, and serve as a leader and representative of AmeriPro EMS.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the EMS field preferred.
  • State-specific Paramedic license in good standing/current NREMT certification if required by state.
  • Current certifications, including CPR, BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS, and valid state-specific driver's license.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working as a Paramedic or in a similar medical role.
  • Additional certification or advanced training in emergency services, including Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), and/or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training.
  • Technology proficiency.
Working Environment:

Due to the nature of EMS care, employees may be exposed to inclement weather, potential hazardous conditions, psychological stressors, diseases, and other illnesses. Frequent interruptions, work pressure, difficult personalities, and irregularities in work schedule are expected. Employee is subject to continually changing deadlines while performing the duties of this job.
