Job Title: Measurement Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:

This is an on-site position based at our location in Dunlap, TN. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing measurements and laboratory tests for various products, including purchased parts, semi-finished parts, and finished parts. They will also manage the calibration system of production and quality measuring and testing devices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform measurements and laboratory tests for purchased parts, semi-finished parts, and finished parts according to control plans and customer specifications.
  • Manage the calibration system of production and quality measuring and testing devices.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering to understand customer-specific requirements.
  • Support the proper use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) in production according to control plans.
  • Support the development and procurement of measurement instruments or tools for program launch teams and project quality engineers.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and requirements for ensuring adherence to agreed quality parameters.
  • Expertise in performing tests referring to the laboratory scope.
  • Expertise in the calibration of test equipment.
  • Knowledge in statistical methods.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Previous experience using specialized quality equipment, including blue light scanners.
