RT Vent Clinician

The Respiratory Therapist Ventilation Specialist provides respiratory care to patients with ventilation needs. This role involves delivering preventative, rehabilitative, and palliative care in accordance with AdaptHealth's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver respiratory care to patients in alternate sites, ensuring optimal outcomes.
• Utilize acquired knowledge to increase competencies and stay updated on respiratory equipment and clinical skills.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient files, documenting all procedures and interactions.
• Assist with authorization for Ventilator referrals and perform in-services to hospital staff and referrals.
• Participate in discharge planning of highly technical cases and perform clinical assessments as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members, physicians, and referral sources to ensure prompt attention to patient care issues.

Requirements:

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• Valid and unrestricted RT clinical license in all states serviced by the branch.
• Must be CPR certified and have one year of clinical experience as a Health Care RT, HME RT, or clinical nursing with Vent experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license.

Work Environment:

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to AdaptHealth's policies and procedures.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds, stand, bend, stoop, and sit at a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours and travel throughout the service area.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA.
