Job Title:

Nurse Vascular Access Specialist

Job Summary:

The Nurse Vascular Access Specialist is responsible for patient throughput and placement of PICC devices for patients with limited IV access. This role may involve care within the UK Healthcare Enterprise and requires providing comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, document, plan, implement, teach, develop, and evaluate a comprehensive nursing plan of care
  • Deliver direct patient care, ensuring patient satisfaction
  • Train and delegate duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistants)
  • Adhere to University policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations
Requirements:
  • ADN degree
  • 2 years of related experience
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Ability to work every Saturday and Sunday night shift (7PM-730AM)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • VA-BC (Vascular Access Board Certified) certification
