Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Perishable Representative to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining a well-stocked and well-maintained department, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide superior customer service, take orders, and answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections.
- Food Service: Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product, slice, package, label, and rotate products, scan items on Telxon for production, and assist in technical areas as needed.
- Sales: Merchandise product effectively, use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales, and make regular announcements related to freshly-produced items.
- Food Safety / Sanitation: Clean and sanitize display cases, properly operate and maintain equipment, comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards, and comply with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong customer service skills, communication and interpersonal skills, reading and writing skills, planning and organizing skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, work with customers, and perform physical tasks such as reaching, standing, walking, pivoting, pushing/pulling arms, grasping, and lifting up to 90 pounds.
As a Perishable Representative at H-E-B, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and customer-focused environment, develop your skills and knowledge, and become an Owner in the company.
