  • Direct Support and Accommodations: Provide direct support to students in their general education classes, including proctoring tests and facilitating participation in school events.
  • Event Support and Chaperoning: Assist in organizing and chaperoning field trips, including overnight events such as school retreats.
  • Parent Communication and Support: Communicate with parents through various channels, providing support and updates on student progress.
  • Professional Development and Events: Attend school events, including Back-to-School Night, Open House, Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation, Faculty/Staff Retreats, and Staff Development Days.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Special Education Background: Coursework in special education or applicable experience
  • Experience: One year of relevant experience preferred
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with faculty, parents, and staff
  • Boundary Setting and Confidentiality: Ability to set clear boundaries with students while maintaining a positive relationship that fosters their development and independence
  • Organizational and Technical Skills: Excellent organizational skills, proficiency in Google Workspace, and the ability to learn and use new technologies, particularly assistive technologies
  • Discretion and Judgment: Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally, using discretion and exercising sound judgment
