Job Summary

As a Neurological Surgeon with CAMC Health System, you will provide diagnostic and surgical services to patients in the field of Neurosurgery. This role requires a high level of expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care to CAMC patients in the field of Neurosurgery.
  • Collaborate with the CAMC Neurosurgery team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest advancements in Neurosurgery.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement performance assessment and improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care.
  • Direct the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, policy manuals, and clinical documentation tools.
  • Act as a liaison for the Neurosurgery program to medical staff and other hospital departments.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the business model to ensure the provision of care based on access, cost, and quality.
  • Assure ongoing professional development and continuing medical education regarding the practice of Neurosurgery.
  • Direct and coordinate all aspects of the neurosurgery program, including access, cost, and quality outcome reporting.
  • Continue to provide patient care services as a practicing clinician/surgeon.
  • Support and implement new technology and quality reporting initiatives.
  • Work with management, staff, and providers to create an environment that promotes high levels of employee satisfaction and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Ability to see, hear, squat, crouch, stoop, hand coordination, arm coordination, kneel, twist upper body, lift irregular loads, sit for 8 hours, stand for 8 hours, walk for 8 hours, lift 75 lbs or more, push 75 lbs or more, pull 75 lbs or more.
  • Indoors, explosive hazards, radiation, confined limited spaces, mechanical hazards, chemical hazards, fumes/odors/gases airborne particles, exposure to body fluids, electric hazard, toxic waste, slippery/uneven footing.
Education and Credentials

Credentials and education requirements for this role include a medical degree and relevant certifications.

This is a full-time regular position with a varied work schedule.
