Position Overview:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care under the supervision of the Primary Registered Nurse (RN). The LPN is tasked with:

  • Assessing the needs of patients and their families, while coordinating with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to ensure the delivery of services as per physician directives.
  • Utilizing clinical skills to monitor, intervene, and educate, thereby enhancing patient comfort and overall quality of life.
  • Collaborating closely with the Primary RN and/or Care Team Manager (CTM) to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a state-approved Practical Nursing program and a minimum of one year of clinical experience.
  • Active LPN license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current CPR certification from a recognized organization.
  • IV Therapy certification is preferred; candidates should be willing to obtain it within six months if not already certified.
  • Proof of a valid state driver’s license and automobile insurance is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficient multi-tasking and critical thinking abilities.
  • Competence in typing and data entry, with familiarity in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Suncoast Solutions being advantageous.
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance regulations.
