Air Comfort is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing HVAC systems that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop HVAC systems, components, and sub-systems for our manufacturing facility.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, quality, and manufacturing, to ensure the successful implementation of new products and changes to existing products.
  • Develop design drawings for electrical and controls disciplines to comply with project specifications, codes, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead technical design reviews and failure investigations.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing for the resolution of manufacturing issues associated with components, systems, subsystems, or products.
  • Combine technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to facilitate or lead cross-functional teams.
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, sales, and quality groups to provide technical support.
  • Recommend, develop, coordinate, and implement process changes, modifications, or developments for productivity improvements, quality improvements, cost savings, and new product development.
  • Positively contribute to the engineering process and develop alternatives that allow the company to deliver consistently high-quality products and solutions to our customers.
  • Implement process improvements and standardization around product designs and platforms.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 4 to 7 years of experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanisms, motor, HVAC with a heavy emphasis on petrochemical and industrial applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with Product Development Processes and Disciplines.
  • HVAC/Refrigeration systems or experience in fluid controls is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of electromechanical and electronic components, including smart relays and PLCs.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of 3D CAD systems, geometric tolerances, and 'design for assembly'.
  • Working knowledge of load calculations, heat transfer, and other design tools.
