Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise Daily Production: Oversee the manufacturing process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to meet output goals.
  • Audit Work Areas: Conduct regular audits to ensure a safe working environment and maintain high standards of quality.
  • Emphasize Goals and Metrics: Communicate performance targets to the team, monitoring output levels and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Produce Work Orders: Create task assignments to prioritize work activities and optimize production workflows.
  • Coach Team Members: Provide guidance and support to production workers, helping them achieve Quality, Safety, Velocity, and Cost metrics.
  • Maintain Employee Files: Ensure accurate records of employee safety certifications and performance reviews.
  • Participate in Warehouse Activities: Assist with tasks such as part pulling, packing, and shipment coordination.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with OSHA Standards and safety procedures.
    • Ability to read precision instruments and gauges.
    • Understanding of machine shop operations, equipment, and processes.
