Die Setter

We are seeking a skilled Die Setter to join our team at Clearfield Metal Technologies. As a Die Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and operating molding equipment, including presses and furnaces.

• Set up and operate molding equipment, including presses and furnaces
• Perform 1st piece inspections and prepare press for operators run
• Work with engineering on potential process improvements and tooling changes
• Handle and place product on appropriate skids or trays as described in control plans
• Visually inspect parts for defects and stop equipment immediately if non-conforming product is being produced
• Notify supervisor of any problems and complete hold tags as necessary
• Complete daily production reports as required

• Responsible for own quality and ability to follow process control plans
• Responsible for house cleaning and keeping area neat and clean
• Perform length and weight adjustments on any standard action press
• Basic understanding and function of standard action press
• Proficient in blueprint reading
