Substance Use Clinic Operations Supervisor

POSITION OVERVIEW: Under the guidance of the Director of Substance Use Services, the Clinical Supervisor will oversee the daily functions of the First Steps 822 Substance Use Clinic. This role includes supervising front-line personnel, coordinating coverage, addressing challenges, and managing daily clinic operations. The Clinical Supervisor will also evaluate clinic compliance, monitor performance, and report findings. Additionally, this position assists in forecasting, developing, and tracking revenue streams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Management
- Conduct weekly individual supervision sessions and biweekly group supervision for staff and interns.
- Oversee the comprehensive implementation and management of the OASAS clinic.
- Distribute nonprofit contracts, monitor metrics, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Engage in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation of supervised roles.
- Provide education to staff regarding data collection, documentation, and reporting standards.
- Utilize weekly electronic health record reports to assess program deliverables, ensure data integrity, and offer constructive feedback.
- Review, develop, and implement departmental policies and procedures.
- Input data weekly into the PAS system for OASAS.
- Assist in formulating and managing strategies for program funding and sustainability.
- Participate in assigned internal committees.
- Attend external meetings as required, including relevant councils and coalitions.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Establish and maintain linkage agreements with potential referral sources.
- Conduct outreach and foster relationships with graduate schools and referral networks.

Additional Duties
- Perform other responsibilities as needed based on program requirements.
- Exhibit flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Comprehensive understanding of Harm Reduction and its fundamental principles.
- Strong knowledge of Trauma-Informed Practices.
- Proven experience in generating revenue for clinical services.
- Familiarity with Medicaid managed care and client billing processes.
- Knowledge of OASAS regulations.
- Experience working within the community and leveraging community resources.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- MINIMUM: Master’s degree in Social Work/Services.
- MINIMUM: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- MINIMUM: Three (3) years of clinical supervisory experience required.
- MINIMUM: Three (3) years of experience in a clinical/substance use program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply (Spanish and Haitian-Creole preferred).
LICENSURE: LMSW required, LCSW preferred.
CERTIFICATION: SIFI or willingness to obtain SIFI certification.
