REPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager

STATUS: Non-Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Server plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests by fostering effective communication within the service team and delivering outstanding service at the table. This position requires a high level of emotional intelligence, comprehensive knowledge of food, wine, and spirits, and a commitment to enhancing guest satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Welcome guests promptly and guide them through their dining journey.
  • Deliver professional service, respond to inquiries, and provide recommendations.
  • Accurately take orders and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
  • Maintain guest satisfaction and comply with regulations regarding the service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Clear and reset tables, manage transactions, and uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Address guest concerns and maintain open communication with management.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.
  • Agility and poise while navigating the dining area.
  • Basic proficiency in math, reading, and writing.
  • Familiarity with menu items, ingredients, and beverage recipes.
  • Exceptional customer service and collaborative skills.
  • Competence in using computer systems for order processing.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous experience in serving, bartending, or customer service roles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Capability to stand and move swiftly for extended durations.
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate weights while maintaining high energy levels throughout the shift.
