Job Summary

Region V Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide training and support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and community locations. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in enhancing the individual's competencies and helping them achieve their goals and build relationships within the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement personalized training programs to meet the individual's needs and desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the individual, their family, and other team members to identify and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as needed.
  • Provide support and guidance to individuals in various environments, including their homes and community locations.
  • Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Transport individuals to appointments and activities as needed.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in human services preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
