About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Service Team Lead to join our team at Gillman Automotive Group. As a key member of our Express Service team, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of vehicle maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Maintain Vehicles: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any issues or needed repairs, and perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Lead and Develop Team Members: Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Communicate with Customers: Effectively communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions to their vehicle maintenance and repair issues.
  • Manage Shop Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Express Service shop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay current with the latest industry developments and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our services and processes.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a leadership role in the automotive industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
