Position Overview:
Modern Healthcare Solutions is in search of a skilled travel nurse RN specializing in NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care. This role involves providing exceptional care to newborns in critical condition.

Key Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse will be accountable for assessing patients and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient care. Key duties include:
  • Developing, executing, and documenting nursing care tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Assessing patient requirements and establishing care priorities through comprehensive evaluations.
  • Conducting initial assessments based on patient issues, physician diagnoses, and health frameworks.
  • Implementing therapeutic nursing interventions as necessary.

Care Management:
The nurse will manage patient care in accordance with established standards, taking into account patient acuity and clinical priorities. Responsibilities also include:
  • Promoting evidence-based care standards and supporting the integration of innovative practices in care delivery.
  • Delivering patient-centered care consistent with professional nursing models.
  • Undertaking additional duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:
Shifts will typically run from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a requirement for three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Floating Requirements:
Yes, the nurse may be required to float to pediatrics/PICU as necessary.

Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related specialty.

Education:
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required.

Preferred Education:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Certifications & Licensure:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (AHA only).
  • Current New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multistate compact license.

Language Proficiency:
Fluency in English is required (reading, writing, and speaking).
