Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team at Northern Light Health. As a Staff Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to patients in various medical-surgical and telemetry units, utilizing your expertise and critical thinking skills to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide safe and effective patient care by utilizing best practices during hand-off communication and when reporting patient care information.
- Perform and document systematic assessments according to established criteria.
- Recognize and respond to abnormal diagnostic data and report to appropriate providers.
- Develop and maintain a professional and personable relationship with patients, families, and staff.
- Utilize theoretical knowledge base to operationalize care.
- Document patient information accurately and completely, adhering to hospital, regulatory, and legal requirements.
- Complete population-specific mandatory education competencies as defined by the unit-specific scope of service.
- Provide culturally competent care to patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and reliability of patient care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work alternate shift schedules, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Minimum of 12 months of experience as a Registered Nurse, with demonstrated competencies in medical-surgical and telemetry patient care.
- Ability to obtain ACLS certification within six months of hire.
