Job Summary:
The Senior Motor Design Engineer is a key member of our product engineering team, responsible for creating conceptual designs, performing electromechanical analyses, and developing detailed designs for our motion control products. This role requires a strong background in motor design, electromagnetic design/analysis software, and experience with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop conceptual designs and perform electromechanical analyses to ensure product feasibility and performance.
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop detailed designs, including design optimization and hardware debugging.
- Support product prototype and pilot build fabrication and testing, and participate in reviews with customers.
- Provide customer support and ensure timely delivery of products.
Requirements:
- Design and test experience with motors (brushless DC, stepper, and/or AC induction motors), actuators, mechanisms, and electromagnetic design/analysis software.
- Experience taking a customer spec, to design, test & validation to manufacturing (full life cycle).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
