Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter Apprentice to join our team as a Mechanical Assembly Specialist. This role will involve the assembly of equipment per mechanical drawings and ensuring that changes and problems get documented and communicated.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out assigned tasks with minimum direct supervision, executing ISO/Quality standards, and communicating with the Pipe Fitter/Fluid Power Lead on open issues and progress during the build process. Additionally, they will maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area and assist with preparing material for secondary processes (material finishing, heat treat, and deburring).

Responsibilities:
  • Assembly of equipment per mechanical drawings.
  • Ensure that changes and problems get documented and communicated.
  • Carry out assigned tasks with minimum direct supervision.
  • Execute ISO/Quality standards.
  • Communicate with the Pipe Fitter/Fluid Power Lead on open issues and progress during the build process.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area.
  • Assist with preparing material for secondary processes (material finishing, heat treat, and deburring).
Requirements:
  • Eligible to enroll in an approved apprenticeship program.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent certification.
  • Related vocational education preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency reading part and assembly drawings.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Proven ability to accept direction and complete tasks as assigned while working as part of a team or individually.
  • Ability to maintain a steady pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and climbing onto and beneath machines.
Skills You'll Have:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to obtain a Hi-Lo (Forklift), Aerial Platform and Overhead Crane license, along with Lock Out Tag Out training.
  • Ability to provide own hand tools and toolbox suitable for the job.
  • Travel at least 25% of the time may be required.
Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
