The Fort Pontchartrain a Wyndham Hotel is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Housekeeping Professional to contribute to our commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences in our Downtown Detroit location.

As a Housekeeping Professional, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our hotel facilities. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks designed to ensure a comfortable and hygienic environment for our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide friendly and courteous service to guests, greeting them with a warm welcome.
  • Transport linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning supplies efficiently using wheeled carts.
  • Thoroughly clean guest rooms, including making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting furniture, and polishing fixtures.
  • Replenish essential amenities such as drinking glasses, writing supplies, and bathroom products in guest rooms.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture, and draperies using appropriate vacuuming techniques.
  • Dust furniture and equipment meticulously, paying attention to detail.
  • Clean walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills to ensure a spotless appearance.
  • Empty wastebaskets, clean ashtrays, and dispose of trash responsibly.
  • Keep storage areas and carts well-organized, stocked, and tidy.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to follow oral or written instructions effectively.
  • Proven ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy.
  • Physical strength and stamina to lift, carry, or pull objects as needed.
  • Strong customer service orientation, demonstrating a genuine desire to assist guests.
  • Excellent coordination skills to navigate workspaces safely and efficiently.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prior experience in a hotel cleaning role is highly valued.
