We are seeking a highly skilled Screed Operator to join our team at Border States Paving, Inc. As a key member of our paving crew, you will be responsible for operating the controls of the screed on our paving machine to ensure the highest quality of workmanship in our assigned paving projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate and control the quantity and consistency of asphalt deposited during paving operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor servicing on the screed to ensure efficient working conditions.
• Assist with groundwork and take instruction from foremen as needed.
• Work in a safe, productive, and professional manner to achieve project goals.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Minimum one season (two preferred) of asphalt and road construction experience and/or training.
• Thorough understanding of all aspects of asphalt paving, including prep work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction, and other details related to asphalt paving.

Benefits:

• Excellent wages: $30.60-$32.40/hr plus $20.65/hr fringe (goes towards health insurance and pension).
• $350 weekly per diem.
