Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Clinical Education QA Coordinator to join our team at Atrium Health. This role will be responsible for planning, managing, and facilitating all aspects of the Radiology Department's Quality / Safety and Accreditation Programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and maintain the Radiology Department's on-going staff education and orientation programs.
  • Responsible for departmental quality goals and outcome monitoring, quality management projects, patient and safety initiatives, including radiation safety, staff education, quality, and safety reporting.
  • Manage departmental work instructions, maintain compliance with standards, including DNV, Federal, state, and local, conduct quality audits, data management and reporting, and other responsibilities as needed.
  • Facilitate orientation of all new staff to position and department, manage documentation/compliance records on staff development, continuing education, mandatory education in-service training, and educational activities/requirements.
  • Establish mechanisms to audit mandatory department compliance and share findings with leaders for response/action.
  • Coordinate and document all equipment QC and repairs, maintain imaging equipment QC and QA records, repairs, PMs, and physicist recommendations, and keep an up-to-date inventory of all imaging equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with state, federal, and DNV requirements.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities for the department based upon documented needs assessments, incorporate performance improvement findings for educational offerings.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of Radiology QA processes and programs, collect data from multiple sources, perform analysis, and present to key stakeholders with recommendations.
  • Coordinate with technical and medical staff to evaluate performance improvement opportunities and develop solutions, prepare monthly imaging services dashboard in conjunction with Enterprise, design, prepare, and collaborate in reporting Navicent Market Data for outcome measures, trends, and goal attainment.
  • Maintain radiation monitoring databases, prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, report problems and solutions to Radiation Safety Committee, coordinate and document all lead PPE in AHN Imaging, excluding Cath Lab, maintain master list for PPE inventory, and act as liaison between Radiation Safety and HAZMAT committees.
  • Maintain current records of hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and make revisions as needed to ensure policies and procedures are kept up to date.
  • Work internally and externally with AHN facilities to maintain the highest quality image standards, maintain imaging quality and patient safety data on employees, including corrective action plans and education required, and act as liaison between technical schools and Radiology Department.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-approved school of Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine technology.
  • Bachelor's degree in Health, Computer, or Business-related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical imaging or related health services, such as quality management, informatics, etc.
  • Demonstrated advanced computer/data management skills.
  • ARRT or NMTCB registered in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine.
  • Certified in Lean Process Improvement, such as Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt).
  • Preferred having at least one advanced imaging certification.
  • Preferred Quality Management certifications, ie. CPHQ, HCQM.
