Clinical Skills Specialist for Children with Autism

Job Description: Clinical Skills Specialist for Children with AutismThis role is a highly rewarding opportunity for a skilled professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with autism and related developmental disabilities.
You will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in various settings, including homes, communities, and schools. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping children acquire essential skills and overcome challenges associated with their conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, utilizing intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
- Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
- Assist parents and caregivers with training, adhering to individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
To succeed in this position, you must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective time management abilities, and a strong commitment to ongoing training and development.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those with autism and related developmental disabilities. A Registered Behavior Technician certification and a high school diploma are required; an undergraduate degree in education, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
