Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records and communicate effectively with clients regarding test results and prognoses.
  • Advise patients on prescriptions and treatment plans, adhering to federal, state, and nursing guidelines, regulations, and standards.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including x-rays, blood work, and scans, and refer patients to specialists as necessary.
  • Update patient charts and upload to Electronic Health Record (EHR) software, working collaboratively with nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and doctors to provide quality patient care.
  • Examine patients, discussing medical history and symptoms, and performing physicals, utilizing popular tools such as medical database software, medical research software, and telemedicine software.
Requirements
  • Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licenses in the state of Texas.
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the specialty is preferred.
  • National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited agency.
  • Master's in nursing required, Doctorate of Nursing preferred.
  • Two or more years of clinical experience as a nursing practitioner at a physician practice or in a hospital.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with patients and their families, with a stellar bedside manner.
