Childcare Caregiver

At RockPointe Church, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Caregiver to join our team. As a key member of our childcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for our children.

The Childcare Caregiver will be responsible for adhering to our mission statement while providing dependable, safe, secure, and nurturing care to the children in our care. This includes interacting and actively engaging with children, teaching curriculum, and leading crafts and activities provided.

• Provide for the emotional, physical, and social needs of children while they are in your care.
• Interact and actively engage with children, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
• Teach curriculum and lead crafts and activities provided, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for our children.
• Supervise children in the classroom, playground, and other areas while they are in your care.
• Change diapers and assist younger children in the bathroom, ensuring their physical needs are met.
• Work well with other childcare staff and volunteers, maintaining a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Maintain good and positive communication with parents, keeping them informed of their child's activities and needs.
• At the end of the program, clean the room, wipe down tables, sanitize toys, and take trash to the designated area.
• Be in class at scheduled times and stay until all children are picked up and the room is cleaned.
• Keep the classroom neat and organized, notifying the childcare leader of supply needs.
• Know and follow the RPC Kids Volunteer Handbook, ensuring compliance with our policies and procedures.
• Complete Child Protection Training and Criminal Background Check as required.
• Commit to praying for this ministry, specifically for the children in your care.

• Be a believer in Jesus Christ and have a heart for His children.
• Have a passion for influencing children's lives with God's love and message.
• Be passionate about creating environments that teach God's truth in an engaging and relevant way to children.
• Have a heart for empowering parents to be the primary influence in a child's spiritual life.
• Have completed a background check and volunteer application.
• Be dependable and flexible, able to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Maintain a balance between doing ministry and being ministered to.
• Work well independently and with a team, demonstrating a collaborative spirit.
• Be intuitive to the needs of children, parents, and volunteers, providing excellent support and care.
• Desire to build relationships with childcare workers, ministry volunteers, and RPC families.
• Be compassionate and handle matters with sensitivity and grace.
• Report any needs and issues that may need the attention of the Childcare Director in a timely manner.
