Data Programmer

To be successful in this role, you'll need one to two years of IT/IS programming experience in a similar role and a Bachelor's Degree.

Key Responsibilities:

The Data Programmer is responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining assigned programs, including monitoring their operation, diagnosing and correcting errors, and ensuring their reliability and effectiveness.

Software Analysis and Implementation:

The role involves reviewing user requirements for new software, conducting analysis, design, implementation, installation, and providing training related to new software developed or acquired.

The programmer plans systems based on consultations with management and staff, documents system plans, and establishes implementation schedules.

System Design and Documentation:

The programmer designs and documents systems based on analysis results and consultations, develops databases, programs, and procedures necessary for system integration or implementation, and tests systems to ensure operational reliability.

They also document systems for user departments and IT in accordance with institutional standards.

This is a full-time, remote position at SSC - Sarasota in the IT Service Department.
