Our mission is to positively impact the lives of over 40,000 individuals and families across multiple counties in Arizona.
Position Summary:
The Family Support Services Consultant plays a crucial role in delivering family-focused home visitation services that are comprehensive, coordinated, and culturally sensitive. This position is designed for at-risk families and their children referred by the Department of Child Safety (DCS). The primary objective is to enhance family safety and well-being, improve family dynamics, and foster self-sufficiency while reducing risk factors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to referrals from DCS, providing immediate crisis intervention as necessary.
- Conduct thorough family-centered assessments utilizing clinical observations and formal assessment tools to create a holistic understanding of the family’s needs.
- Facilitate weekly visits and maintain timely documentation of progress and reports.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement a Family Service Plan that addresses specific goals and strategies for families.
- Deliver direct services including crisis intervention, individual and family therapy, parenting education, and resource linkage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social services or a related field, with at least one year of relevant experience.
- Experience in behavioral health assessments and interventions for at-risk families.
- Valid Arizona driver's license and the ability to use personal transportation for work-related duties.
- Current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card and First Aid/CPR certification.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to complete all required training and maintain compliance with agency policies.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed, with availability for on-call support.
