We are currently seeking skilled technicians to assist our residential and small business clientele.

The Smart Systems Technician is expected to work independently in various locations, directly engaging with clients.

Your responsibilities may include the upkeep of smart home devices, troubleshooting connectivity issues, running diagnostic assessments, and providing technical assistance.

Additionally, you may be tasked with the installation and setup of television, surveillance, automation, and networking systems primarily in residential settings, but also in commercial environments.

Please note, this role is classified as a 1099 independent contractor position. You will need to provide your own tools, vehicle, and maintain a valid driver's license.

Key Responsibilities:

Integration of Smart Systems:
Install, configure, and integrate various low voltage systems, including security alarms, camera setups, audio systems, and networks. Ensure these systems operate smoothly and meet industry standards and client expectations.

Project Oversight:
Take charge of assigned projects, managing them from inception to completion. This involves coordinating with clients, understanding their needs, developing project plans, and overseeing the installation and integration phases. Provide leadership and direction to a team of technicians to ensure timely and successful project outcomes.

Troubleshooting and System Maintenance:
Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on low voltage systems to identify and rectify technical issues. Conduct routine inspections, system upgrades, and repairs to guarantee optimal performance and client satisfaction.

Documentation and Reporting:
Create comprehensive documentation of project specifications, installation methods, and system configurations. Generate progress reports, service tickets, and other necessary documentation, ensuring clear communication with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in PC imaging and configuration
  • Capable of troubleshooting hardware and network challenges
  • Strong aptitude for assisting clients in understanding technology
  • Willingness to learn on the job
  • Extensive knowledge of smart devices and their systems
  • Experience in smart device installation, hardware diagnostics, and configuration
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift items independently
  • Familiarity with general construction and electrical principles
