Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Site Supervisor to join our team at Allied Universal Janitorial Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and delegating the workload of janitorial staff, ensuring the highest level of service is provided to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delegate workload of janitorial staff members to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure work is completed in accordance with our customer contract.
  • Answer calls from security or management for emergency cleaning and maintenance requests.
  • Ensure janitor closets are cleaned and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Oversee table, chair, stage, and retail merchandising unit set-ups as required.
  • Inform the maintenance department and supervisor of any maintenance deficiencies.
  • Conduct safety training and coach and mentor janitorial team members.
  • Perform payroll duties as needed.
  • Make productivity recommendations to leadership staff.
  • Participate in the selection and placement of janitorial team members.
  • Provide team feedback and guidance for improvement.
  • On occasion, may be required to perform janitorial duties to supplement staff.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two (2) years of janitorial work experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of janitorial work experience employed by Allied Universal Janitorial Services, Millard Group, or other Allied Universal business.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, manage stressful situations, and mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Active listening and ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior supervisory experience in the janitorial or housekeeping industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
