Toddler Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled Toddler Teacher to join our team at SproutFive, an early childhood nonprofit dedicated to providing holistic, high-quality education to children in Columbus, OH.
This is a part-time and full-time available position for a toddler classroom (ages 18 months to 3 years) where you will work alongside a group of exceptional peer teachers to support the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of young learners.
As a vital member of the SproutFive team, you will be empowered to innovate in the field of early education and child care, working collaboratively with our social work team in the Family Resource Center to support parental concerns and family goals.
Responsibilities- Develop lesson plans and activities that support the development of each child's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Manage your classroom collaboratively with your co-teachers, actively engaging in activities and maintaining cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials
- Maintain frequent communications with families through informal discussions and progress reports
- Connect families to opportunities and supports in SproutFive's Family Resource Center
- Mentor student teachers, fellows, and other professionals as they learn from you and your co-teachers best practices in early education and child care
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum CDA (Child Development Associates) or higher degree in a related field
- Expertise in child development and some professional child care experience at a highly rated Step Up To Quality or NAEYC accredited program
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and training
- The ability to meet all state requirements for working in early education, including a clear background check and passing health screenings
At SproutFive, we offer competitive salaries based on your credential, starting at $17.25 per hour for CDA holders, $18.17 for Associate's degree holders, $22.80 for Bachelor's degree holders, and $25.79 for Master's degree holders.
