As a Culinary Specialist with Chartwells Higher Education, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality food service experience for our students and faculty. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and serve food in accordance with established standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain daily production schedules and preparation requirements from the Chef.
- Prepare food items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
- Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
- Store, label, and date all food items according to policy, adhering to HACCP guidelines.
- Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs as necessary.
- Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time.
- Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Complete orders from steam tables and grill, serving customers at multiple stations.
- Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
