Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at a leading Fortune 200 global manufacturing company. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in performing month-end closing procedures, reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end closing procedures and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate financial information
- Effectively communicate and coordinate the exchange of financial information to key stakeholders, including senior leaders and business units
- Process Accounts Payable invoices and maintain supplier contact, ensuring timely payments and resolving any discrepancies
- Perform AP disbursements, ensuring accurate and efficient payment processing
- Report monthly Accounts Receivable aging reports and maintain aged balances within targets, ensuring optimal cash flow management
- Manage cash application, processing customer invoices and credit memos, and maintaining customer contact to collect outstanding payments
- Manage and report sales and use tax and tax audit requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders
- Understanding and application of accounting principles and practices, with a strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in financial reporting and analysis
