The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist 2 / Scientist I (Analytical Development) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing samples, developing and improving analytical methods, including LC-MS, HPLC/UPLC-based assays, mass spectrometry, and glycosylation analysis assays.
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute forced degradation studies for monoclonal antibodies to assess stability under stress conditions.
- Develop and optimize analytical methods, including HPLC/UPLC-based assays, capillary electrophoresis-based methods, and mass spectrometry techniques.
- Ensure laboratory equipment and instruments are well-maintained and troubleshoot potential issues.
- Collaborate with external contract labs to ensure sample submission, testing, and data analysis are on track.
- Prepare and review analytical procedures, protocols, and study reports.
- Contribute to the investigation and resolution of out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) testing results.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in analytical methods, including mass spectrometry, HPLC, capillary electrophoresis, and UV/Vis spectroscopy.
- Experience with forced degradation studies, including design, execution, and data interpretation, specifically for monoclonal antibodies.
This is a contract opportunity expected to be long-term, requiring onsite work in the Redwood City area.
