We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Support Specialist to join our team at Westchester Community College. The successful candidate will provide academic assistance to students, including individual tutoring, group tutoring, homework assistance, and exam reviews.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic support to students in various subjects, including reading, study skills, ESL, psychology, computer science, science, writing, physics, economics, and mathematics.
- Develop and implement effective tutoring strategies to meet the needs of diverse student populations.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure seamless integration of academic support services.
- Support front desk activities, including answering inquiries, making copies, and disseminating information.
- Current matriculation at Westchester Community College or a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Successful completion of college-level coursework in the subject matter with a minimum grade of 85% (B+).
The work schedule varies, with daytime, evening, and Saturday hours available. The hourly rate of pay is $15.75 per hour, with no benefits.
