Key Responsibilities:
As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting physicians during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Verifying patient identity, reviewing imaging requests, and clearly explaining procedures to patients while providing necessary reassurance.
  • Assisting in the preparation and execution of all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Monitoring patients throughout the procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Applying comprehensive knowledge of radiation safety standards to minimize exposure for both patients and staff.
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of human anatomy and physiology to accurately interpret examination requests.
  • Operating intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps effectively.
  • Maintaining precise patient records and utilizing the McKesson PACS system proficiently.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a similar setting.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and AART National certifications.
  • A Certificate in Vascular-Interventional Radiology (VI) or Cardiac-interventional Radiology (CI), along with any required state-specific licenses.

Our ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as bend and stoop as necessary. A strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential for success in this role.
