Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain close communication with the Program Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician to provide updates on aircraft status and forecast maintenance downtime.
- Conduct thorough maintenance tasks, including inspections, modifications, and repairs of aircraft components in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with the Program Lead AMT, considering workflow, equipment location, and job requirements.
- Engage with pilots and clinical crew daily to address any concerns regarding aircraft condition before commencing work.
- Provide after-hours maintenance support as necessary.
- Document and address discrepancies during maintenance and inspections accurately.
- Uphold the field base to the standards set by company policies.
- Take full responsibility for each aircraft assigned to the base.
- Manage inventory requests and maintain local Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
- Ensure compliance with all necessary documentation and regulations.
- Inspect incoming parts and materials promptly upon arrival.
- Monitor shelf life limits of parts to ensure timely removal from inventory.
- Request Secondary Maintenance Checks as required.
- Maintain calibration logs for tools and equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate is required.
- Inspection Authorization and/or FAR 135 experience is advantageous.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience with turbine rotorcraft or airplanes is essential.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, push, pull, reach, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods.
- Capability to climb heights and lift up to 50 pounds or more.
- Must possess sufficient vision to perform essential job functions safely.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Work Environment:
- Indoor/Outdoor settings with potential exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals.
- Moderate to loud noise levels.
- Driving company or personal vehicles for work-related tasks.
Employment Status:
- Full-time position.
- Schedules may vary based on program assignments.
- On-call availability is required.
- Overtime may be necessary depending on workload.
