We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Houston Methodist Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and complex computed tomography (CT) procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and adhering to radiation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including common and special CT exams, to produce high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Assist with sterile technique and provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members.
- Follow safety standards and conduct imaging procedures accordingly, using ALARA principles to protect patients, staff, and the general public.
- Contribute to quality and safety initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and participating in department projects and shared governance activities.
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) or temporary state licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
