As a Process Improvement Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Applying Manufacturing Engineering expertise, including line balancing, ergonomic assessments, and product flow analysis to ensure process optimization
- Utilizing AutoCAD for equipment and process layout
- Analyzing time study data to implement enhancements that boost efficiency
- Leveraging engineering skills to mitigate risks and enhance safety and ergonomics across all manufacturing areas
- Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions aimed at improving efficiency, quality, and safety
- Collecting production statistics and proposing solutions to minimize waste and enhance efficiency
- Collaborating with operators and engineering teams to identify methods for increasing efficiency
- Developing process flows and equipment layouts
Qualifications for the Process Improvement Engineer position include:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Demonstrated experience as an Engineer in an automotive supply environment, particularly in assembly or manufacturing operations
- Proven track record of projects that have improved manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for equipment layout
- Ability to work independently with a proactive mindset
- Strong communication skills to engage with all levels within the manufacturing facility
