About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our retail team at Tumi. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales, building client relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performance to Goals: Meet and exceed individual and store baseline goals for personal sales and KPI metrics, including conversion, DPT, UPT, and Client Data Capture.
  • Leadership and Initiative: Display a good sense of initiative, able to plan and prioritize, displays strategic thinking, and champion change in an effective manner.
  • People Development: Train and develop store associates, provide coaching and feedback, and assist with recruiting and networking to ensure hiring of high-caliber team members.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Exercise strong written and verbal skills, adapt communication skills upwards, laterally, and to the team, and demonstrate ethical conduct when completing job duties.
  • Compliance: Assist with managing the store schedule and timecards, maintain Tumi University Training, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Visual Merchandising/Client Experience: Ensure the store follows visual guidelines and directives, enforce excellent client services, and ensure a consistent superior client experience.
Requirements
  • Understand the TUMI brand and have a true passion for the lifestyle, clients, and product assortment.
  • Values a collaborative environment and have an openness to feedback.
  • Strong sales and client experience, preferably in the luxury market.
  • Proven success in meeting sales goals and achieving KPIs.
  • Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, mornings, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong sense of integrity and ability to lead by example.
  • Strong time management skills.
