Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Information System Security Officer to join our team at Independent Software. As an ISSO, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support for the development, implementation, and enforcement of information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Maintain the operational security posture of our information systems to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Perform regular audits to identify security issues and vulnerabilities, and develop plans to remediate them.
  • Develop, test, and operate firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools to protect our systems from unauthorized access or destruction.
  • Research and evaluate new security software and devices to stay ahead of emerging threats.
  • Communicate security alerts and incidents to stakeholders and take corrective action to mitigate risks.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead and work as part of a team.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or bachelor's degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Certification in compliance with the requirements of the DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
