As a Software Integration Specialist, you'll design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements.

These systems might include, but are not limited to, processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, business management information systems, and systems that incorporate data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development and monitoring.

You'll work individually or as part of a team, reviewing and testing software components for adherence to design requirements and documenting test results. You'll also resolve software problem reports, utilizing software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.


As a key member of our team, you'll provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Open Source Software (OSS) and/or Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Experience developing in Unix is a must, and you should be able to perform shell scripting. Working knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) tools and Web Services implementation is also required.


Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position-appropriate security clearance are required. (e.g., Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency-appropriate polygraph).


Required Qualifications

TS/SCI with agency-appropriate poly

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university

At least ten years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment

OR

The individual shall have five (5) years full-time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least ten (10) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment

An industry-recognized professional certification, as defined in the TTOs, may substitute as one year of experience

A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years of experience

IAT Level II Certification Required


Required Technical Skills

Experience in Linux System Administration

Knowledge of cluster computing, shared file systems, high availability computing, and system monitoring software

Ability to code in a variety of languages for scripting purposes

Hourly pay rates listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation.

Hourly pay rates reflect the pre-benefit gross wage amounts.
