Job Summary:
A skilled Welder is required to join our team at SOLV Energy, a leading provider of engineering, procurement, construction, and solar services. As a Welder in our solar industry, you will be responsible for performing welding operations to assemble and fabricate solar panels, structures, and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding machines.
  • Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping them as needed.
  • Weld components together using the appropriate welding techniques and methods.
  • Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Repair and modify existing solar panels and structures as necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve welding-related issues and improve processes.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of construction, welding techniques, and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certification in welding and relevant experience in the solar industry.
  • Solar panel installation experience preferred but can be taught.
